Nick Erskine, owner and director

Coach Nick has nearly 15 years' worth of basketball coaching experience, most of which has been at the high school level in Texas and California. He is passionate about teaching young players the fundamentals of the game, as well as the life lessons that can be learned through basketball. He is also a certificated teacher, which has included teaching at both the public school and homeschool levels.

Danny Burton, North Austin Regional Director

Coach Danny played high school basketball in the basketball-rich state of Indiana. He has experience as a lead coach for several ATX Ballers Basketball Camps, and loves his impact on our local youth because the kids' energy is "infectious and their minds are like sponges." Danny heads up the North Austin regional schools and programs.

Mike Randolph, South Austin Regional Director

Coach Mike has been a lead coach with ATX Ballers for several after-school and holiday programs. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he has a passion for working with kids, as evidenced by his other vocation as a youth care advocate for disenfranchised children. Mike heads up our South Austin regional schools and programs, overseeing the logistical and operational needs of that area.

Joseph Jamie Johnson, basketball and track Coach

Coach Joseph has played professional basketball in over 30 states, as well as Mexico and Australia. He currently plays for the Austin Bats. Coach Joseph has several years of coaching experience, and has taken 3 of his 4 most recent teams to national championship games. Coach JJ also has several years of experience coaching track & field.

Bobby Conley, Basketball Coach

Coach Bobby is a former starting guard for the Texas State University Bobcats. An Ohio native, Coach Bobby has been a lead coach for ATX Ballers for several lessons and skills clinics. He has a passion for helping young players develop their games, emphasizing the small details that set young athletes apart from the rest of their competitors.

Geoff Harner, Basketball Coach

Coach Geoff brings several years’ worth of overseas basketball playing experience, including Lithuania and China. He was a standout player for McCallum High in Austin and Concordia University (Austin), and has also coached youth basketball for over a decade.

Rick allard, Basketball Coach

Coach Rick, originally from Simi Valley, CA, brings over 20 years’ worth of coaching experience to ATX Ballers’ program. Rick’s playing experience includes a semi-pro league in the Los Angeles area. He coached varsity high school basketball for several years, and started his own AAU basketball team in the L.A area. Coach Rick truly enjoys coaching, saying the aspect he loves the most is “the mental aspect and reaching each player’s thought process so that they adopt a passion for what they are doing and relate it to life in general.”

Matthew Paris, Basketball and Track Coach

Coach Matthew, a Texas Tech grad, has coached youth basketball for 12+ years, including with Austin Sports Academy, i9 Sports, and ATX Ballers. Majority of the players he's coached have been between grades 3-8. Coach Matthew has also served as the head coach for several of our after-school programs and holiday camps. More recently, he has done private training for dozens of kiddos in the Greater Austin area. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of the game, Paris really enjoys teaching players about the sport's robust history. Coach Matthew ran track in high school, and uses that same passion to coach ATX Ballers track & field programs.

Faith Boyer, basketball and track coach

Coach Faith, a Texas State grad, has coached with ATX Ballers since Fall 2019. She brings her 12+ years of formal teaching experience to the court, where she relates really well with elementary school players in particular. Coach Faith has served as a coach for our after-school programs and holiday camps.

marcus goodner, basketball and track coach

Coach Marcus has been coaching for six years at the elementary and middle school levels. He enjoys serving his local community, having served K-12 kiddos for eight years through his church. He is currently the head middle school basketball & track coach at Hyde Park Baptist School. Coach Marcus brings both his track and basketball expertise to ATX Ballers, as he is one of the program’s lead coaches for the track & field program.

Aimee Longoria, basketball Coach

Coach Aimee, graduate of Wimberley High, was 1st Team All-District her senior season. Her post-high school experience includes playing for Austin’s semi-pro basketball team the Austin Storm. She has coached for 6+ years, leading both girls and boys teams at the middle and high school levels. According to Coach Aimee, “Being able to give back to the game and be a coach who players look up to is what I love the most about coaching.

Jeff Kaneta, basketball Coach

Coach Jeff played high school basketball at Waiakea High School in his hometown of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. His early coaching days included coaching at University of Hawaii Vulcan basketball camps. Coach Jeff was mentored by Head Coach Jimmy Yagi, a Hawaii basketball legend. He uses those lessons to mentor dozens of Greater Austin area kiddos. Kaneta has coached several ATX Ballers private lessons, after-school programs, and holiday camps.

ADRIAN JAIMES, SOCCER AND BASKETBALL COACH

Coach Adrian played soccer at St. Edward’s University, and currently plays for Capital City SC (UPSL). He has coached both soccer and basketball for ATX Ballers’ summer camps, after-school programs, and private group trainings. Coach Adrian is currently working on his Master’s in Strength and Conditioning for High Performance Training.

DEREK BARON, BASKETBALL AND TRACK COACH

Coach Derek, a Texas State University alum, was a standout three-sport athlete in high school (basketball, track, and football). He started his coaching career with the Boys & Girls Club in the South Texas area. He later served as an assistant coach for a high school basketball team in the San Marcos area. Coach Derek started coaching with ATX Ballers in early 2020 with our after-school programs, group trainings, and holiday camps.
